Lower School

For students in grade 1 to grade 6

Lower School

Welcome to our Lower School program for Grades 1-6! We are committed to providing a comprehensive and well-rounded education to our students. Our carefully designed curriculum focuses on fostering academic growth and development in essential subjects such as reading, writing, mathematics, Social Studies, and Science.

To enrich the learning experience, we offer specialized courses taught by dedicated teachers in Art, Music, Japanese, Library, Health, Physical Education, Character Education, and World Religion. These diverse disciplines provide students with the opportunity to expand their educational journey.

Our curriculum aligns with the Common Core State, Next Generation, and AERO Standards, ensuring that students acquire the necessary knowledge and skills. We value diversity and multiculturalism, and our teaching approaches are tailored to meet the unique needs of each student, allowing them to reach their full learning potential.

Incorporating technology into our educational approach is a key aspect of our program. From Kindergarten to Grade 6, students have access to a 1-to-1 iPad program, enabling them to utilize technology for enhanced engagement and understanding of the subjects.

Additionally, we offer limited in-class language support and targeted interventions for students who require assistance in accessing the curriculum. Our teachers collaborate to develop scaffolds specifically designed to support language learners in speaking, reading, writing, and listening. While this support is available, it is important to note that it is limited in scope.

Our primary aim is to create an engaging and supportive learning environment where every student can thrive. Through thoughtful instruction, a broad range of subjects, and the intelligent use of technology, we strive to provide an exceptional education that prepares our students for future success.
