Our mission is to foster a love of reading and learning, empowering students to become enthusiastic, lifelong learners.
MBIS Library
A dynamic learning environment
The MBIS Library is a dynamic learning environment that inspires and supports students, teachers, parents, and the broader community in engaging with 21st-century learning.
As a cornerstone of our school’s academic and community life, the library plays a crucial role in nurturing inquiry, fostering intellectual curiosity, and promoting lifelong learning across all three International Baccalaureate (IB) Programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), and Diploma Programme (DP).
Rooted in inquiry-based learning principles
Rooted in inquiry-based learning principles, the library serves as a hub for knowledge and conceptual understanding.
We offer a diverse range of resources—both physical and digital—that support formative and summative assessments while guiding students through the complexities of research, critical thinking, and reflection.
Facilitates enriching discussions
Led by a Teacher Librarian and Library Assistant, our library facilitates enriching discussions that extend beyond academic content, shaping our community’s approach to learning, literacy, and global citizenship.
These interactions provide valuable insights into students’ interests and challenges, enabling teachers and leadership to gain critical perspectives on student success.
