Vision and Mission
The philosophy of MBIS is designed to awaken students to the realities of life and to prepare them for the future. It stresses the concept that each individual is unique and endowed with the potential for growth; it further emphasizes the inherent dignity of each student and staff member. The school aims to give to each student a well-rounded education incorporating the academic, moral, social and physical aspects of life. Our active Parent-Teacher Association emphasizes the idea that both parents and teachers share responsibility for educating the children. The Marist Brothers work with youth in 74 countries around the world, and the philosophy stated here is the same philosophy that permeates all Marist schools and youth projects. There are various characteristics of the Marist Brothers that have an influence on the school. There are, first of all, the Christian values in which the Brothers' monastic life is rooted and which are focused on in the Values program in the curriculum. Another characteristic of the Brothers' philosophy that affects the life of the school is the concept of family spirit, which permeates the school. Finally, there is the Brothers' special commitment to educating all children, regardless of their background or financial status. This means that they are especially well-adapted to dealing with people from a variety of countries and diverse cultural backgrounds.
